High-Piled Combustible Storage

HPCS1In accordance with the 2007 California Fire Code, Chapter 23, a fire permit from the Permit Center is required to use a building for high-piled combustible storage and must be renewed and inspected annually. At the time of permit application, plans and specifications shall be submitted for review and approval. 

When applying for a High-Piled Combustible Storage permit, please follow these steps:

  1. Complete a Fire Permit application
  2. Draw plans and specs 
  3. Submit application and plans to Fire Prevention at the Permit Center

Fire Prevention will then:

  1. Process your application and plans
  2. Review for approval
  3. Contact you when your permit is ready for pick-up

Along with the Fire Permit Application, plans and specs must be submitted, in person, with the Permit Center.
