City Charter
Voted into place by citizens, the City Charter describes in detail the form and structure of Alameda's municipal government.

Municipal Code
The Municipal Code is the body of law that has been enacted by the Alameda City Council. The entire document is available online for easy viewing. 

Sunshine Ordinance
The Sunshine Ordinance is codified in the Municipal Code, Chapter II, Article VIII.

General Plan
Adopted by the City Council, the General Plan provides land use policies to guide the City's future conservation and development efforts.

Annual Budget
The Annual Budget guides the City's allocation of resources necessary to provide City Services.

Comprehensive Annual Financial Report
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is prepared by the City's Finance Department and independent auditors in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Redevelopment Plan
The Redevelopment Implementation Plan FY 2009-13 outlines redevelopment plans and implementation schedules for the Business and Waterfront Improvement Project and West End Community Improvement Project

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
The City's ADA Grievance Policy and ADA Transition Plan Update are intended to further the City of Alameda's commitment to ensuring that people with disabilities are able to take part in and benefit from the whole range of public programs, services and activities offered by the City.
