The City of Alameda is actively pursuing bringing the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory's (LBNL) Second Campus to Alameda. LBNL issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for a second campus to consolidate approximately 480,000 square feet of laboratory and office space in the first phase of development.
The City submitted its response to the LBNL RFQ on March 4, 2011, and was short-listed with five other proposals on May 9, 2011. The final selection is expected in November.
