Animal Shelter Volunteers

Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter Volunteers
The gift of time is the most valuable asset for a non-profit organization.  The daily function of the organization and the care of the animals rely on the support and staffing of the volunteers.  The Alameda Animal Shelter Volunteer Program encourages participation from all members of the community.

Volunteers provide support in the following areas:

• Fundraising
• Events
• Outreach Programs
  
• Maintenance
  
• Office Support
• Shelter Support
• Foster Care
  
• Grooming
• Canine Support
• Feline Support
  

Volunteers will be able to volunteer seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesday until 7 p.m.  Junior Volunteers between the age of 10 and 15 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
