Albert H. DeWitt Officers' Club

The Albert H. DeWitt Officers' Club is located in historic Alameda Point, formerly the Alameda Naval Air Station. There are four separate rooms available for rent for both small and large venues. The O'Club is very popular for wedding receptions, conferences and formal dances. There is ample parking in the lot across the street. Liability insurance is required if alcohol will be served at your function.

Park Picnic Areas
Outdoor picnic facilities are available for rent to individuals, groups and organizations.  There are barbecue grills available for use at the picnic sites.  No charcoal barbecue allowed.  Alcohol is not permitted at these facilities.

Confirmed reservations may be made in person at the Recreation Office, 2226 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda.  A minimum of advanced notice of seven (7) working days is required when requesting a rental. The use of any outside contractors (clowns, inflatable jumpers, etc.) by any rental groups must be approved by the Alameda Recreation and Park Department prior to date of use.  Additional insurance requirements must be met seven (7) working days prior to date of use.

Recreation Centers
Recreation Centers may be reserved on weekends, when available, to both individuals and organizations for private parties, weddings, dinners and other social functions. Liability insurance is required if alcohol will be served at your function.

Reservations will not be accepted less than seven (7) working days or more than ninety (90) days prior to the date requested.  EXCEPTIONS:  Wedding receptions and Class Reunions may be reserved up to six (6) months in advance.

Sports Fields and Facilities
18 parks offer 16 multi-purpose athletic fields (four with night lighting), one soccer field, and 16 tennis courts. Facilities are available for rent from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. where lights are available, April 1 through October 31. Alcohol is not permitted at these facilities.

Hardball/Softball/Soccer
We have collegiate level hardball and expertly maintained softball and soccer fields. All are maintained and booked through ARPD.  Alcohol is not permitted at these facilities.

Bocce Ball

There is a charge to rent the John Ratto Bocce Ball Court (see fee schedule below). All reservations must be made in person at the Alameda Recreation and Park Department Office, 2226 Santa Clara Avenue, Alameda, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations will not be accepted less than seven (7) working days or more than ninety (90) days prior to the date requested. All fees must be paid in full at the time the reservation is issued. Hours available for Bocce Ball Court rentals are from 9:00 a.m. to dusk.  Alcohol is not permitted at these facilities.

Swim Facilities
The City of Alameda runs two outdoor swim centers located at Alameda and Encinal High Schools.  Swim Centers may be reserved from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on the weekends during the months of June through August.  Alcohol and glass containers are not allowed at the swim centers.

Pools are not available for rental on Independence Day and during the school year (September through mid-June).
