Volunteer - Teen Program
VOLUNTEER FOR THE ALAMEDA RECREATION AND PARK DEPARTMENT!
An Excellent Opportunity For Teens Who Are Currently In 7th to 12th Grades

Teen Volunteers are needed to assist Recreation Leaders with youth programs and special events at our local parks. During the summer, Teen Volunteers are also needed to help with our Aquatics Program at the swim centers as well. This is a perfect opportunity to gain valuable work experience for future employment opportunities. SPACES ARE EXTREMELY LIMITED. SIGN UP EARLY!
TO APPLY AS A TEEN VOLUNTEER:
- All teens must complete the "Teen Volunteer Application form" and return it with payment to the Alameda Recreation and Park Department, 2226 Santa Clara Ave, Alameda, CA 94501.
- Once your teen's application form has been reviewed, the Teen Coordinator will contact your teen to schedule an Oral Interview.
- If your teen is accepted into the program, your teen must attend a Mandatory Volunteer Training Session (see schedule listed below).
DEADLINE:
- All applications are due no later than two weeks prior to the training date(s) - see below and are subject to space availability.
- Not all applicants will be guaranteed an interview.
- LATE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
MANDATORY VOLUNTEER TRAINING INFORMATION
- 2012 SUMMER SESSION TRAINING DATE: THURSDAY, MAY 24TH - Class #10702
- TIME: 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- LOCATION: Veteran's Building (2203 Central Avenue, Room 120, Alameda)
- COST: $45 per person - includes training, uniform and materials
